Reflection: 2024

2024 started unassumingly.

Things I was glad for:
1) Taking a long awaited trip to Melbourne in Sept this year. It was wonderful catching up with peers in Sydney and Melbourne alike.

2)Renewing my residency for another 5 years. Who knows what will happen in the next 5 years?

3) Doing the adult thing and being my own agency by withdrawing from a Masters program which was not suitable for me, though I was gas lighted by the staff at SEGI uni, with false hopes that I could make change. If I had stayed, it would have been a waste of my time and effort.

Things I did/learnt:
1) Salsa and bachata dancing. Stayed on for two months before the festive season came upon us.

Things I was sad about:
1) realizing I'm no longer young, and have to be careful when I sprained my ankle whilst bouldering. 😂😂

2) The passing of Thor.

His death came abruptly after a long struggle with skin infections and internal duel with inflammation.

I never expected to feel the pain that would come with the death of beloved pet. Having lived with me from 8 weeks, and moved houses 4 times, he was finally called home to be with the Heavenly Father just a few days save of Christmas. He was like a family member to me, having been through the Covid and been a companion with me through the many years of my time in Melbourne.

I pray I will see Thor on the day when I finally am called to go home too.
