Are you going for Bersih 3.0?

So the topic of Bersih was a conversation piece during dinner time. I haven't really thought of it, but decided to read more about it on the blogosphere. .

It seems that the Bersih 1 caused a political tsunami in 2008 causing BN (National Coalition) to lose a number of seats.

Bersih 2.0 in July 2011 was a walk rally, where infamous incidents included tear gas being sprayed into Tung Shin hospital. The aftermath was the Health Minister, Low, and Tung Shin head of board, Ng, both denying any accusations that no such incident ever happened.

And the final outcome? The policemen are the one who are being made the scapegoat in this entire pass-the-buck episode.

I'm sure the police will be more careful this time around for Bersih 3.0, just to protect their asses.

Now there is Bersih 3.0, a sit down protest in Dataran Merdeka. It is held in lieu of the upcoming 13th General Elections, with hopes that there will be changes made towards a more transparent election reform.

The date set for this is 28th April 2012, at Dataran Merdeka, 14.00- 16.00 hours.

It is also organized on a global basis all over the world. For my mates in Sydney, its held in Martin Place at the same time, and same day.

Do what you can for a fairer and transparent government, both Malaysian and non malaysians alike! It is your future!!
