My playmate.

I wished so much you were here.
My playmate,
My bestest playmate at the pond!

We'd frolick at the garden,
Kites in our hands,
Tadpoles in our bottles.

We'd kick the water,
Our bare feet wet.

Splashing each other,
We'd scream and shout,
Till the neighours all looked out,
We'd laugh out loud!

From morn till dusk,
Not a care in the world.

But the rain is here,
It won't go away.

Daddy called me from the pane,
To look at my book.
I look away,
But sadly away.
