Upper body exercises: to carry an 8kg infant

Yesterday, I went for Christmas lunch.

However, I realised that I wasn't able to carry bestie's 8kg infant.

It is embarrassing as I have been lifting weights.

To resolve this, I decided to ask Chat GPT for some recommendations for exercise routines that could help.

Some exercises recommended by Chat GPT
to help strengthen the muscles in your arms, shoulders, upper back, and core:

1. **Bicep Curls:**
   - Hold dumbbells in each hand, palms facing forward.
   - Curl the weights toward your shoulders, keeping your elbows close to your body.

2. **Shoulder Press:**
   - Hold dumbbells at shoulder height.
   - Press the weights overhead, extending your arms fully.

3. **Rows:**
   - Use dumbbells or a barbell.
   - Bend at the hips, keeping your back straight, and pull the weights toward your chest.

4. **Planks:**
   - Get into a push-up position, but with your weight on your forearms.
   - Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.

5. **Russian Twists:**
   - Sit on the floor, lean back slightly, and lift your feet off the ground.
   - Rotate your torso, touching the ground beside you with each twist.

6. **Lateral Raises:**
   - Hold dumbbells at your sides.
   - Lift the weights out to the sides, keeping your arms straight.

7. **Tricep Dips:**
   - Use parallel bars or the edge of a sturdy surface.
   - Lower your body by bending your elbows, then push back up.

Remember to start with weights that are manageable and gradually increase as your strength improves. Consistency is key, and proper form is crucial to avoid injuries.
