China: Guangzhou (Day 2) Folk Art, and Cantonese Opera Museum

Today we had breakfast at the hotel. It was a simple breakfast with simple staples like congee, fried rice and fried noodles. There was also 3 in 1 coffee sachets, and warm orange juice.

After breakfast, we made our way to Zhong Shan 4 Road to catch the Metro train from Peasant station (strange name).

First, we headed to the Guangdong Folk Art museum in Liwan District.

The weather was hot, so I had to tie my jumper around my waist as I walked around.

I was tempted to get a pair of 80 yuan enamelled flower drop earrings but in the end, I settled for a 29 yuan brooch instead....

Guangdong Folk Art Museum in Liwan District. (Or Chen Clan Ancestral Hall as the name in Chinese is. Don't ask my why they have such strange names).

    29 yuan brooch.

After that, we took the Metro to the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Museum .

Street near the museum. The name in Chinese is Yong Qing Fang, which is the street area near the Cantonese Opera Museum.

It has a beautiful man made fountain outside.

For lunch, there is this rice noodle shop just down the road.

Rice noodles, centurion egg pork mince congee, and black sesame dessert.
