Day 40- Post Blackie's Death (Lucy adopted?)

Today I went to Sri Sentosa to see if I could find Lucy, the outdoor garden cat who lives in the community garden.

The caretaker, Ranjit said that Lucy hasn't been seen much in the last week. She comes in the morning, eats a little from the bowl, and disappears for the day.
Then later she mused that it is possible someone has taken a fancy on Lucy and adopted her in.

Ranjit mentioned that two other families had been keeping an eye on Lucy, and one had been putting food out for her. So it's possible they took Lucy in too.

Lucy looks healthy and is spayed. Maybe that's why?

I asked Ranjit, is that a good thing? She said yes, it means Lucy will have a good home now with a guardian looking after her. It is a bitter sweet feeling, but it's always good to know she has a family looking out for her.

She said the other two cats have gone missing. I said, it could be that they have passed away and knew their time is coming.

I asked Ranjit, does Lucy catch animals to eat? She said she had once seen Lucy quietly watching the pigeons, before pouncing on them and have a nice meal after. 😄

The veg garden that Lucy was sleeping outdoors in. This is an okra plant (or ladies finger as they call it in Malaysia).

lemongrass, and Kaffir lime 🍋‍🟩 leaf plant.

what we picked from the garden today. Cucumbers, chillies and limes.

In other news, Bee sent me photos of her cats using Thor & Blackie's mats.

Staccato using the mat the right way.

Dora sleeping on the other side of the mat.
